Overview

We are seeking an innately curious, trend-savvy Senior Strategist to join our team and help drive that mission for our clients. This is an awesome opportunity to join a small but mighty and growing strategy department. The Senior Strategist will help lead the day-to-day strategic thinking on an assigned business, working in close partnership with account & creative leaders. As an independent strategic leader, this person will work with a multi-disciplinary team to champion and push us towards innovative work and meaningful results for our clients. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include: leading insight development; leading quantitative and qualitative research projects; ensuring that we are strategically focused and leveraging insights on a day-to-day basis; and helping teams recognize, nurture and sell-in our best ideas. A proven track record of creating inspiring, concise, focused briefs is critical. The ability to distill thinking into simple, inspiring narratives is also critical.

 

The ideal candidate will be equally interested and experienced in diving into brand, business, product, consumer and cultural insights. Candidates should be versed in communications strategies for consumer-facing brands, with experience in both brand and comms strategy with a particular knack for social-first thinking. A proven track record of social media success on platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, Pinterest and additional emerging tools is preferred. An understanding and point of view on the emerging paid media opportunities within each of the platforms is key.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates who have a minimum of 7 years of strategy experience within an agency setting. Importantly, candidates with a strong pulse on new marketing innovations, hacks, and tools that help us do our jobs better are preferred, as is proficiency using visual presentation tools, such as Canva and Keynote. Brand experience in the liquor/spirits/beverage category is a huge plus.

 

This is a locally-based role, where relocation will be required for candidates living outside of the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. We currently observe a hybrid work model. We work onsite every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for Work From MONO (WFM) days, in addition to moments that matter outside of those designated days, with the purpose of fostering agency connection and aiding collaboration. Some travel may be required.
