MONO is looking for a Strategy Director to join our newest account – an exciting portfolio of national spirits brands. The Strategy Director will lead brand strategy work on multiple brands for this account including audience and cultural research, brand positioning, insight discovery, and creative brief development all with a goal of driving a modern, integrated marketing approach that delivers big wins for our clients.
Strategy Directors at MONO are passionate experts of human behavior, and are expected to inspire creative teams to develop legendary ideas that create work that works. Essential partners to our clients, this role proactively understands and builds solutions for the challenges our clients face. As a manager, the Strategy Director mentors, coaches, and guides other strategists on their accounts and on the strategy team.
The ideal candidate has led strategies for high-profile, national accounts and has built trusted relationships with their account and creative teams, as well as their client and agency partners. A proven track record of success at leading innovative brand strategy and translating business and consumer insights into inspiring briefs and creative ideas is critical. Also critical, experience architecting inspiring and persuasive stories that illustrate the power of our ideas through compelling presentations. Ideal candidates have experience in both brand strategy and connections strategy; the ability to uniquely position a brand in their category and guide the ideas that will help them breakthrough reaching their audience in modern, unexpected ways.
For this role, 10-12 years of strategy experience is required preferably in an integrated agency setting. Brand experience in the spirits/beverage category is a huge plus.
This is a locally-based role, where relocation will be required for candidates living outside of the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. We currently observe a hybrid work model. We work onsite every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for Work From MONO (WFM) days, in addition to moments that matter outside of those designated days, with the purpose of fostering agency connection and aiding collaboration. Travel is required.
